Conclusion

To summarize, this is an audio interface with no bells and whistles, but with a very high sound quality. It seems to find its ideal place in the studio and in the live recording of acoustic instruments. Despite its age, the UR824 remains in Steinberg’s catalog, and is still a good option when compared to other audio interfaces in the same price range.

Pro: Robust construction, many inputs, excellent sound quality, free Cubase AI, controllable from iPad, reasonable price.
Cons: Very poor and dated control software.
Voto: 4/5

Manufacturer: Steinberg/Yamaha
